RECOM to launch 1500V module at Intersolar Munich 2015

Frankfurt, Germany, May 22, 2015 – the leading European manufacturer of solar photovoltaic (PV) products, today announced that it has completed the development of its new 1500V PV module, inaugurating the product’s global launch in Q3 2015. The product will be featured at Intersolar Munich from June 10 to 12, 2015.

The current UL 1703 industry standard for maximum system voltage is 1000V of system voltage bias. The RECOM 1500V PV module has proven its performance under the UL 1703 draft guidelines for 1500V of system voltage bias, passing the stringent humidity test under its standard conditions for 1500V systems.

Mr. Laert Tunyan, Chief Executive Officer of RECOM Solar, commented, “Raising the maximum system voltage to 1500V means a potential increase of up to 50% in string length, reducing costs on the system side. It is an inevitable trend that 1500V systems would begin to be installed on a global scale. Our new 1500V PV module is further testament to RECOM’s competitive advantage as a leader in Utility PV technology.”
