AKMI and REPOWER, a company of the multinational giant RECOM TECHNOLOGIES – a leading European Manufacturer of Photovoltaic Modules with activity in more than 110 countries in the Renewable Energy sector – announce their new educational collaboration. The goal is to jointly develop educational programs, enhance new skills required in the “green” professions sector, and co-organize seminars for the student community.
With the dynamic start of the collaboration, they are offering for the first time in Europe an innovative specialization program in the installation of Photovoltaic Systems and Electric Vehicle Charging Stations for AKMI’s Electrical Engineering and Automation students, responding to the continuously increasing demands in the energy sector. The program aims to provide students with extensive knowledge and practical skills in solar technology, leveraging RECOM’s expertise, maximum efficiency, and high aesthetic quality.
As Mr. Dimitris Tsirkas, General Manager of AKMI, stated:
“We are inaugurating a new, innovative specialization educational program in exclusive collaboration with REPOWER, a member of the multinational RECOM group. The program covers the most critical thematic fields in the Photovoltaic sector, energy saving, and the study and installation of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations. It is fully aligned with the modern market demands and includes practical training in real installations, enabling our students to become familiar with all contemporary applications, automations, and international standards as imposed by the European Union. Upon completion of the program, our graduates will be competitive and ready to successfully work in this popular sector with excellent prospects for advancement.”
Mr. Limparis Kevorkian, General Manager of RECOM REPOWER, stated:
“We are thrilled! Today marks the beginning of the collaboration between two top and pioneering organizations, AKMI and RECOM REPOWER. This program, meticulously prepared by both AKMI and RECOM REPOWER, offers students in Greece the opportunity to gain in-depth specialized knowledge in a field with continuously growing demand and flourishing, not only in Greece but globally: the production of clean, green energy through Renewable Energy Sources (RES), particularly in our case through photovoltaic panels, with the reliability and quality of the products from the leading European manufacturer, RECOM TECHNOLOGIES.”
Ms. Georgia Stavropoulou, Marketing & Communications Director of RECOM TECHNOLOGIES, stated:
“We are very proud of this collaboration with AKMI, aiming to introduce more young people to green energy through education, specifically through ‘green’ professions, thus contributing to a better planet and a more sustainable future.”
The new collaboration is part of the Educational Partnerships framework of the MITROPOLITAN-AKMI Group, through which multidimensional synergies are developed with leading companies in their sector. The goal extends beyond student internships and covers a wide range of activities, from the design of new study programs to hands-on training and the acquisition of specialization and competitive advantages for its students.
